Located at ‘The Liardet Street Project’s, Kahakai is the new healthy take out option in town!

Poké Bowl is a healthy Hawaiian dish, with Japanese influenced flavours. The Poké, which means "raw marinated cut fish" in Hawaii, is served on base of sushi rice, spinach or a bit of both, with a whole lot of fresh veggies, and sauces. It can be compared to a big deconstructed sushi in a bowl. The whole menu is gluten free and dairy free, offering different meat and plant based options. Healthy, fresh, filling and delicious.

After becoming addicted to Poké Bowls on her annual trip to visit family in Montreal, Kahakai owner, Annie Foley, craved it so much she decided to open her own catering truck in New Plymouth. After an extended makeover of the food truck, Kahakai spirit was born.

"I noticed there was a lack on the market for healthy takeaways, and after working in hospitality for so long, it was time for me to create something of my own."
